The Government of Chhattisgarh on January 12, 2025, issued the amendments to the Industrial Development Policy 2024–30.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The amendment further strengthens the industrial growth, investment attraction, and employment generation in the State. The amendments focus on expanding eligibility, rationalising incentives, and providing additional benefits to priority sectors.
• Key changes include enhancement and clarification of capital investment subsidies, interest subsidy provisions, and employment-linked incentives, particularly for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, SC/ST entrepreneurs, and startups.
• The amended policy also provides additional incentives for thrust and priority sectors, improves provisions for industrial infrastructure development, and simplifies certain procedural requirements to ensure ease of doing business.
• Special incentives have been reinforced for backward areas, tribal-dominated regions, and new industrial clusters to promote balanced regional development.
• Overall, the amendments aim to make the policy more investor-friendly, inclusive, and aligned with the State’s long-term industrial and employment objectives.
