Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on January 15, 2026, issued a circular regarding extending export benefits for exports made through the Postal mode, amending Circular No. 25/ 2022-Customs dated December 09, 2022.

The following has been stated: -

•CBIC has enabled electronic export benefits for postal exports by integrating the PBE Automated System with ICEGATE, overcoming earlier system limitations.

•Postal Export (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Amendment Regulations, 2026 have been notified to automate procedures and link the Department of Posts DNK portal with ICES.

•Exporters can now electronically claim Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL through the postal route, subject to ICEGATE registration, prescribed PBE forms, and document upload on e-Sanchit.

•The amended provisions take effect from January 15, 2026, with updated links and procedures, and field formations are directed to issue public notices for stakeholder awareness.
