The Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR), on January 09, 2026, notified regarding the requests to increase the Daily Limit of Downloads of CKYC Records.
The following has been stated, namely:-
• The following inconsistencies have been noted in a large number of requests received from REs for enhancement of the download limit: -
• REs have average downloads considerably below their existing download limit, and yet are requesting limit enhancement.
• REs are requesting to enhance their daily download limit to a significant fraction of their existing customer base.
• REs requesting an abrupt enhancement of their existing daily download limit, which could be administratively infeasible to utilise.
• REs requesting a daily limit that is comparable to the total CKYCR downloads that the RE has carried out since inception.
• Justification is given ambiguously, such as “to clear pendency..” without mentioning any figures to substantiate the claim.
