The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on January 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the amendment to Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components Industry in India (PLI-Auto).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Under ‘Table 1’ of sub-paragraph ‘3.3.2.3 (VIII)’ of the PLI-Auto Scheme the following shall be amended namely: -
“Only those Battery Electric Vehicles will be eligible for incentives which meet the performance criteria as per Table 1A below”
