The National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL) on January 14, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Article Activation in State of Bihar.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Government of Bihar has approved an additional sub-article under Articles 5C, 6(1), and 6(2) for use in non-registrable documents on the NeSL DDE platform.
• The updated list of permitted articles with digital codes for Bihar is provided in Annexure 1. Users are advised to update their DDE submission process accordingly.
• Selection of the correct Stamp Duty Article Code and duty value is solely the responsibility of the executing parties, NeSL does not verify correctness and allows articles based on the Stamp Duty calculator provided by Bihar IGR.
