The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on January 15, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Revised Customs Tariff Values for Oils, Precious Metals and Areca Nuts
The following has been stated namely: -
• The amendment is issued to 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) dated August 03, 2001 regarding the Revised Customs Tariff Values for Oils, Precious Metals and Areca Nuts
• Table-1, Table-2 and Table-3 with is substituted with revised tariff value tables.
• Updated tariff values are notified for crude and refined palm oil, palmolein, soya bean oil, and brass scrap (all grades) under Table-1.
• Table-2 specifies revised tariff values for gold and silver in various forms, including bars, coins, medallions, and semi-manufactured forms.
• Table-3 retains the tariff value for areca nuts at USD 7,679 per metric tonne, with no change.
The amended tariff values shall come into force from January 16, 2026.
