The Department of Tourism, Goa, on January 16, 2026, issued a notification regarding streamlining of documentation for Hotel Registration under Ease of Doing Business.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government has approved the rationalisation of mandatory documents for registration and renewal of tourist services to promote Ease of Doing Business.
•For hotel registration, requirements such as trade license and tariff card have been dispensed with for both new and renewal cases.
•A valid Fire NOC from the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services is now mandatory for both new registrations and renewals.
•This order supersedes the earlier notification dated August 02, 2022, and stakeholders must ensure compliance with safety norms before applying.
