Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on January 05, 2026, issued a circular regarding Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) with respect to Investor Service Requests processed by Registrar to an Issue & Share Transfer Agents (RTAs).

The following has been stated: -

•SEBI has issued a comprehensive Investor Service Request (ISR) guide to assist investors in handling services through RTAs, especially for physical securities.

•The guide explains procedures for KYC updates, nominations, duplicate certificates, transmission, and mandatory dematerialisation for transfers.

•It prescribes strict timelines (15–30 days) for RTA action and provides grievance redressal through SEBI SCORES and RTA verification mechanisms.

•Mandatory compliance includes PAN–Aadhaar linking, use of ISR forms (e.g., ISR-1), and details on recovery of unclaimed assets via IEPF.
