The Directorate of Postal Life Insurance (DPLI) on January 16, 2026, issued a notification regarding the reversionary bonus declared for Rural Postal Life Insurance (FY 2026–27).
The following has been stated: -
•The Director General, Postal Services, has declared revised reversionary bonus rates for RPOLI policies based on actuarial valuation as on March 31, 2025.
•Bonus rates range from Rs. 45 to Rs. 60 per ₹1,000 sum assured, depending on policy type, with a terminal bonus up to ₹1,000 for eligible long-term policies.
•These bonus rates will be effective from April 01, 2026, and apply to claims due to death or maturity.
•Interim bonus at the same rates will be payable until the next actuarial valuation, with rounding-off as prescribed.
