Industry Specific ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on January 08, 2026, issued the notification regarding the SEBI Facilitates Seamless Digital Signature Certificate Functionality for FPIs.

The following has been stated namely: - 

• A new Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) functionality from Indian DSC issuers has been integrated into the Common Application Form (CAF) portal, combining FPI registration and DSC application into a single, unified process.

• This enhancement further streamlines and simplifies FPI onboarding by enabling applicants to apply for DSC directly while submitting the CAF.

• Process flows and FAQs for obtaining DSCs are available on the India Market Access Portal, and FPI applicants are encouraged to leverage this enhanced digital facility.
