Industry Specific ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on January 19, 2026, issued instructions regarding the implementation of the Interest Subvention Scheme for Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Prothsahan, as announced by the Government of India on a pilot basis. The Scheme is to be implemented in line with the operational guidelines notified by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

The circular applies to Scheduled Commercial Banks (excluding RRBs), Primary (Urban) Co-operative Banks, State Co-operative Banks, and All-India Financial Institutions, directing them to extend interest subvention benefits strictly to eligible exporters and eligible export credit, in accordance with the Scheme provisions and existing RBI regulatory instructions.

Banks and financial institutions are further required to ensure accurate eligibility checks and timely submission of claims, following the prescribed procedures and operational instructions as issued from time to time.
