The Co-Operation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Tamil Nadu, on January 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding amendments to the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Rules, 1988.
The following has been stated: -
•In the rules,– (1) in rule 20, in sub-rule (1), in clause (c), the expression “family card number” shall be omitted;
•In rule 52, in sub-rule (7),– (i) in clause (b), in item (i), the expression “family card number” shall be omitted;
(ii) in clause (e), in item (i), the expression “family card number” shall be omitted; and
•In Schedule-I, in Form No.16, Serial Number 6-A and the entry thereof shall be omitted.
