The Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department, Assam, on November 26, 2025, issued a notification regarding the commencement of the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Policy of Assam 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The policy aims to develop Assam as a regional hub for aviation MRO services in Northeast India.
•It provides incentives such as capital subsidies, tax exemptions, and support for infrastructure development.
•The policy encourages private investment, skill development, and employment generation in the aviation sector.
•It seeks to reduce aircraft maintenance costs and strengthen Assam’s role in India’s aviation ecosystem.
•The Policy shall come into effect from November 26, 2025, and shall remain in force for 5 (five) years.
