The Ministry of Textiles on January 20, 2026, issued a notification regarding final fixation of Maximum Ex-Factory Price for 580gm Jute Bags.
The following has been stated: -
•The Jute Commissioner has fixed the maximum ex-factory price for 580gm Type-A and Type-B jute bags at ₹1,50,200 per MT or ₹8,711.58 per 100 bags.
•The specification applies to B-Twill sacking bags (94cm x 57cm/HD) as per BIS IS: 16186:2014 for January 2026 transactions.
•Bags must carry the prescribed emblem, mill name, BIS marking, and meet minimum breaking strength standards.
•The notified price is exclusive of GST, which shall be paid separately by the purchaser.
