The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on January 21, 2026, issued a notification regarding the extension of Electronic Personnel License (EPL) for the issue and Renewal of ATPL (including IR), PPL, and FRTOL-R.
The following has been stated: -
•From January 21, 2026, EPL services now include issue/renewal of ATPL, renewal of IR on ATPL, and issue/renewal of FRTOL-R.
•PPL issue and renewal will be tentatively added to EPL from February 16, 2026.
•All approved applicants will receive an Electronic Personnel License accessible via eGCA and its mobile app.
•Part-FCL functions for ATPL renewal, PPL, and FRTOL-R are also extended to Bangalore and Hyderabad regional offices.
