EHS ComplianceThe Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on January 12, 2026, issued directions under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, regarding the installation of an Online Continuous Emission Monitoring System (OCEMS) in air polluting industries operating in NCR-Delhi.

The following has been stated: -

•The SPCBs/PCCs of NCR-Delhi must immediately mandate OCEMS and/or PTZ cameras as CTO conditions for specified high-pollution sectors.

•OCEMS is required for 17 high-pollution industries, common waste facilities, and Red category air-polluting industries.

•Food, metal, and textile sectors must install both OCEMS and PTZ cameras; all applicable units must ensure installation and connectivity.

•Only NPL-certified OCEMS vendors are permitted, and an Action Taken Report must be submitted within 15 days.
