The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC), on January 20, 2026, notified the Sixth Amendment to the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Intra-State Open Access in Madhya Pradesh) (Revision-I) Regulations, 2021, in exercise of powers conferred under relevant provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.
The amendment revises the existing regulatory framework governing intra-State open access in Madhya Pradesh, with specific changes introduced to Regulation 13.2 of the Principal Regulations, aimed at updating and refining the operational and procedural aspects of open access transactions within the State.
The amended regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette and shall extend to the whole of the State of Madhya Pradesh, thereby ensuring uniform applicability and regulatory clarity for all stakeholders involved in intra-State open access arrangements.
