The Bar Council of India (BCI) on February 02, 2026, extended the last date for submission of applications by existing Centres of Legal Education for seeking extension/renewal of approval of affiliation for the Academic Year 2026–2027.
The last date for filing completed applications for the Academic Year 2026–2027 was originally fixed as December 31, 2025. The said date had earlier been extended up to January 16, 2026.
It has been observed that certain existing Centres of Legal Education have not been able to submit their completed applications within the extended period. In order to ensure that such institutions are afforded a final opportunity to comply with the regulatory requirements and to enable due processing of applications on the basis of complete records, the Bar Council of India has decided to grant one final extension of time.
Accordingly, it is hereby notified that the last date for submission of completed online applications by existing Centres of Legal Education for extension or renewal of approval of affiliation for the Academic Year 2026–2027 is extended up to March 05, 2026.
