The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on February 18, 2026, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various Textiles and Twill Jute Bags.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be February 12, 2026:-
• IS 837: 2026 - Textiles — Doffer and Flat - Stripping Comb Blades — Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 1943: 2026 - Textiles — A-Twill Jute Bags — Specification (Third Revision).
• IS 2566: 2026 - Textiles — B-Twill Jute Bags for Packing Food Grains — Specification (Fourth Revision).
• IS 3082: 2026 - ISO 2936: 2014 - Assembly Tools for Screws and Nuts — Hexagon Socket Screw Keys (Fourth Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be August 10, 2026: -
• IS 837 – 1982 - Specification for Doffer and Flat Stripping Comb Blades (First Revision).
• IS 1943: 1995 - Textiles — A-Twill Jute Bags — Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 2566: 1993 - Textiles — B-Twill Jute Bags for Packing Foodgrains — Specification (Third Revision).
• IS 3082: 2008 - ISO 2936: 2001 - Assembly Tools for Screws and Nuts — Hexagon Socket Screw Keys (Third Revision).
