Industry Specific ComplianceThe Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on February 19, 2026, notified regarding the special festive drive to ensure food safety, quality, and prevention of adulteration.

The following has been stated:

• It has directed enforcement authorities to conduct a nationwide “Holi Anti-Adulteration Drive – 2026” to curb food adulteration during the festive season. The drive will focus on high-risk items such as milk and milk products, sweets, namkeen, edible oils, ghee, and cereal products, especially in identified hotspots. 

• Officials are instructed to intensify inspections, sampling, and deploy Food Safety on Wheels for on-the-spot testing, while ensuring all inspection data and outcomes are uploaded on FoSCoS/FoSCoRIS by March 31, 2026.
