•The Kerala Government’s Local Self Government Department has issued a formal correction to a previous circular regarding simplified birth registration for transgender individuals.
•The document rectifies clerical errors by changing the reference dates from 2025 to 2023.
•Specific terminology in the guidelines has been updated to remove the phrase "Gender/Sex," replacing it strictly with the word "Sex".
•This circular ensures the original directive remains in effect with these specific modifications.
