The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), on December 02, 2025, issued the Corrigendum regarding the Approval Process 2026-27.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Existing Clause:- Definitions- Expert Visit Committee (EVC): “Expert Visit Committee (EVC)” means the Committee constituted by the Regional Officer as per the composition specified in the Approval Process Handbook to verify offline/ online the availability of Infrastructural facilities of an Institution.
• Modified Clauses:- Definitions- Expert Visit Committee (EVC): “Expert Visit Committee (EVC)” means the Committee constituted by the Council as per the composition specified in the Approval Process Handbook to verify the availability of Infrastructural facilities of an Institution in Physical / online / Hybrid.
• Existing Clause:- Definitions- Point 53: “Standing Appellate Committee (SAC)” means a Committee constituted by the Chairman as per the composition specified in the Approval Process Handbook for considering the appeals of the Technical Institutions.
• Modified Clauses:- Definitions- Point 53: “Standing Appellate Committee (SAC)” means a Committee constituted by the Council as per the composition specified in the Approval Process Handbook for considering the appeals of the Technical Institutions.
