The Government of Uttar Pradesh, on January 16, 2026, notified regarding the remission of Stamp Duty for Anchor and Non-Anchor Units under the Uttar Pradesh Bioplastic Industry Policy, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
The aforesaid remission under this notification shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:-
• District Magistrate of the concerned district or Deputy Commissioner, District Industries Centre shall confirm in the instrument that the deed is being executed under The Uttar Pradesh Bioplastic Policy, 2024 and shall also sign as a witness for the said purpose.
• Irrevocable Bank Guarantee of the amount equivalent to the remission of stamp duty, in favour of the Inspector General, Registration, Uttar Pradesh or the District Magistrate of the concerned district, shall be presented before the registration officer at the time of the registration of such deed. The validity period of the bank guarantee should be at least one year longer than the eligible investment period for the above companies.
