Labour ComplianceThe Labour and Skills (E) Department, Government of Kerala, on January 29, 2026, notified regarding revising the minimum rates of wages payable to the classes of employees employed in the Photography and Videography sector.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Dearness Allowance:- In addition to the basic rates of wages, the employees shall be eligible for Variable Dearness Allowance at the rate of ₹ 60 for every increase of one point above 165 points (2011-12=100) of the Consumer Price Index Numbers published by the Department of Economics and Statistics for the District Headquarters concerned. 

• General Conditions:- In case of employees employed under an employer who are at present getting higher wages and benefits than the minimum wages as per this notification, then they shall continue to enjoy such higher rates.
