EHS ComplianceThe Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) on February 20, 2026, issued directions under Section 12 of the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021- Stipulation for Particulate Matter Emissions from Industries across Delhi-NCR.

The following has been stated: -

•The Commission has capped particulate matter (PM) emissions at 50 mg/Nm³ for identified Red Category (medium and large) industries, including food processing, textile (with boilers), and metal units in Delhi-NCR.

•The new standard applies from August 01, 2026, for large and medium industries, and from October 01, 2026, for the remaining industries.

•Units already subject to stricter PM limits below 50 mg/Nm³ will continue to follow those lower standards.

•The direction overrides earlier orders of 2022, and NCR States and pollution control authorities must ensure wide publicity and timely compliance.
