The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) on February 20, 2026, notified regarding the fixation of the Maximum Ex-Factory Price for 580 gm Type-A & Type-B Jute Bags.
The Jute Commissioner has finally fixed the maximum ex-factory price for 580 gm B-Twill Sacking Jute Bags (without linkage) for February 2026. The price for both Type-A and Type-B bags has been fixed at ₹1,70,702 per metric tonne or ₹9,900.72 per 100 bags. The bags shall conform to BIS Specification IS: 16186:2014, with size 94 cm × 57 cm, 580 gm weight per bag, prescribed ends and pecks per dm, and required identification markings as per existing orders.
Each bag shall bear the emblem specified in the PCSO issued by the Office of the Jute Commissioner, Kolkata, along with the name of the manufacturing mill and BIS certification mark, and shall meet the prescribed minimum breaking strength.
The notified price is exclusive of GST, which shall be payable separately by the purchaser.
