class="MsoNormal">The Government of Haryana, on February 19, 2026, issued the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 2025, to further amend the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971.
The following has been stated namely: -
For sub-section (2) of section 80, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:- “(2) Where the Board is dissolved, with effect from the date specified in the notification under sub-section (1), all properties, funds, assets, liabilities, obligations and employees shall vest in the State Government and the State Government may, by order, direct that all such properties, funds, assets, liabilities, obligations and employees shall stand transferred to the Haryana Urban Development Authority or any other local authority or agency as may be specified by the State Government. The transferee entity shall be deemed to be the successor in interest of the Board to the extent so specified and all legal proceedings, contracts and liabilities subsisting on the date of dissolution shall be enforceable by or against the transferee accordingly.
