Labour ComplianceThe Department of Labour Welfare, Assam, on February 12, 2026, issued a notification regarding revised VDA for Multiple Scheduled Employments.

The following has been stated: -

•In continuation of Notification No. E238621/696 dated June 14, 2025, the Government of Assam has revised the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) based on a 100% rise in the All India CPI (IW) (Base 2016=100).

•The average CPI for December 2024–May 2025 increased by 0.8 points (0.14%) over June–November 2024, leading to revised VDA rates across numerous scheduled employments.

•Revised total monthly wages now range from Rs. 10,354 for unskilled workers to Rs. 19,345 for highly skilled workers.

•The updated VDA rates are effective from June 01, 2025, and apply to workers across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, transport, shops, and other notified establishments.
