The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 24, 2026, issued the Amendment to the Last date for submission of TRQ Application for various FTAs notified under Appendix-2Aof the FTP, 2023, for FY-2026-27.
The following has been stated:
• It has extended the last date for submission of online Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) applications for FY 2026–27 from February 28, 2026, to March 15, 2026, for specified products under various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)/Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs) notified in Appendix-2A of the FTP.
• The extension covers TRQs under the India–Sri Lanka FTA (including bakery shortening/margarine, pepper and desiccated coconut), India–Mercosur Trade Agreement (crude soy oil from Paraguay), India–Mauritius CECPA (certain fruits, vanilla, fish products, specialty sugar, beverages and apparel subject to sourcing conditions), India–Nepal Treaty of Trade (vanaspati, acrylic yarn, copper products and zinc oxide), and India–UAE CEPA (various polymers, PVC resins and copper wire products).
• Imports will be permitted as per the respective procedures laid down in the relevant Annexures of Appendix-2A of the FTP, 2023, and all other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Eligible applicants shall file their TRQ applications online on or before March 15, 2026.
