The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on February 25, 2026, issued the Guidance Document for Filing of Annual/ Quarterly Return by Registered Recyclers at Used Oil EPR Portal.
The following has been stated namely:-
• “The Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023; where the instrument of EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) has been introduced for the management of Used Oil in the Country. As per the provisions of the said rules, it is the responsibility of the recyclers to file quarterly and annual return forms provided on the EPR Portal for Used Oil Management. Recyclers can proceed to file the annual return form only after successful registration on the portal.
• The annual return form shall be submitted successfully after declaration and payment, i.e. 25% of the Registration Fee Amount
