The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding the modalities for export of Wheat.
The following has been stated: -
•The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued a Public Notice outlining procedures for export authorization of 25 LMT wheat.
•Applications must be submitted online through the DGFT portal between March 01–10, 2026 (monthly window), along with past export performance, confirmed orders, and CA-certified turnover details.
•A Special Exim Facilitation Committee (EFC) will allocate quotas based on export history and confirmed contracts, with authorizations valid for six months and non-transferable.
•Applications below 10,000 MT, outside the portal or window period, or containing misdeclarations will be rejected, and exporters must submit landing certificates post-export.
