Commercial Compliance The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 24, 2026, notified regarding the Extension in the implementation of Amendment No. 2 to IS 302-2-80:2017.

It has extended the implementation deadline for Amendment No. 2 to Indian Standard IS 302-2-80 : 2017, which specifies safety requirements for household and similar electrical fans covered under mandatory BIS certification. The competent authority has approved extension of the date of implementation of this amendment from February 27, 2026 to July 18, 2026.
