The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on February 23, 2026, notified regarding the Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Monoisopropylamine” (MIPA) originating in or exported from China PR.
The following has been stated:
• The investigation was initiated following an application by the domestic industry under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and the Anti-Dumping Rules, 1995, with the Period of Investigation (POI) being July 2023 to June 2024
• The Authority examined dumping, injury, and causal link. It was observed that imports from the subject country were made at dumped prices with significant dumping margins
• The landed price of dumped imports was below the domestic industry’s selling price and cost of sales, leading to price undercutting and price suppression
• There was a sharp increase in low-priced imports, resulting in a loss of market share, a decline in sales volume, production, and capacity utilization of the domestic industry
• The Authority also concluded that other factors, such as demand contraction or imports from other countries, were not responsible for the injury
• Accordingly, the Authority determined that dumped imports from China caused material injury to the domestic industry and recorded its final findings recommending the imposition of appropriate anti-dumping duty to offset the injury.
