The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on February 25, 2026, issued a circular regarding the Commencement of Futures Trading in Electricity (Monthly Base Load) June 2026 Contract.
Members are informed that the Electricity June 2026 Futures contract will be available for trading from March 02, 2026 and will expire on June 29, 2026. The contract specifications and trading parameters outlined in the annexure will be binding on all members and their clients.
Applicable margin requirements will be as prescribed by the Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited through its periodic circulars. Members are advised to take note of the launch and comply with all applicable trading and margin provisions.
