The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on February 26, 2026, notified regarding the renewal of the CA certificate for the TLS communication with the exchange.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Trading members may kindly note that the CA certificate used for communication with the trading system in exchange using the TLS protocol is going to expire in March 2026. The certificate needs to be renewed in the member application before the expiry date mentioned above.
• Thus, to have a seamless process of upgrade for the members and to avoid the last day change, Exchange proposes to renew the certificate earlier than the expiry date in phases across all segments.
• Thus, the new CA certificate will be applicable in all segments, i.e. Equity Derivatives, Equity, Currency Derivatives, and Commodities derivatives on March 07, 2026.
• From the date mentioned above, member application would be required to mandatorily use the new CA certificate in their applications; otherwise, the member applications will not be able to connect with Exchange trading systems. The Exchange system will be upgraded to accept the new certificate from the above-mentioned date onwards.
• Member application does not require any change in their application for the usage of the new CA certificate. The old certificate needs to be replaced with the new certificate, and connection to the connection gateway can be established. There is no change in the connection parameters of any segment. The new certificate will be required to connect to the existing connection parameters from the above-mentioned date onward.
