The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCX) on February 25, 2026, notified regarding the Accreditation of Warehouse for Storage of Base Metals at Thane.
The Clearing Corporation has approved accreditation of a warehouse at Thane, Maharashtra, for storage and delivery of Base Metals contracts with effect from February 25, 2026. The warehouse, operated by Jics Logistic Limited at Kalambusare Village, Uran, Raigad (Navi Mumbai), will handle Aluminium, Zinc, Nickel and Copper deliveries.
Members and their constituents have been advised to ensure that only contract-compliant grades and varieties are delivered and to confirm space availability before initiating delivery. Storage charges will range from Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 per MT per day, depending on the deposit date, with Rs. 35 per MT per day applicable from the subsequent month onwards. Handling charges are Rs. 175 per MT for forklift use and Rs. 250 per MT where both forklift and hydra are used. Insurance is included in storage charges, and GST/taxes will be applicable as per prevailing rates.
