The Government of Kerala on February 25, 2026, issued the Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments Workers' Welfare Fund (Amendment) Scheme, 2026 to further amend the Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments Workers Welfare Fund Scheme 2007.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In sub-clause (1) of section 39, for the words “seven thousand five hundred”
The word "nine thousand" should be substituted for the words "five thousand" and the word "six thousand" should be substituted for the words "six thousand".
• In paragraph 41, for the figure "10,000", the word "twelve thousand" shall be inserted.
• In paragraph 43, the word "six thousand" shall be substituted for the word "five thousand", the word "one thousand two hundred" shall be substituted for the word "one thousand" and the word "twenty thousand" shall be substituted for the word "twenty-four thousand".
This shall come into effect immediately.
