The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on February 26, 2026, issued a notification regarding the E-ASM Margin Re-Triggered for Coriander Contracts.
The NCDEX has announced that Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% has been re-triggered for Coriander contracts due to significant price volatility (measured by high–low variation).
Key points:
• The 2.5% E-ASM applies to all running and upcoming Coriander contracts.
• It will remain in effect until March 20, 2026.
• The trigger was based on price movement thresholds over 5 and 10 days.
• Other listed commodities (Barley, Castor Seed, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, Jeera) are not currently under E-ASM.
• Existing margins will continue to apply as usual.
Due to sharp price swings, NCDEX has increased margin requirements for Coriander trading to manage risk.
