The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on February 24, 2026, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet and Strip.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be February 23, 2026:-
• IS 1946 (Part 4): 2026 - Fixing Devices in Walls, Ceilings and Floors of Solid Construction Part 4 Testing and Assessment of Post-Installed Mechanical Anchoring Systems (First Revision).
• IS 2062 (Part 2): 2026 - Structural Steel Part 2 Hot Rolled Quenched and Tempered Steel Plates, Sheets, Strips and Wide Flats.
• IS 6911: 2026 - Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet and Strip — Specification(Third Revision)
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be August 23, 2026: -
• IS 1946 -1961 - Code of Practice for Use of Fixing Devices in Walls, Ceilings and Floors of Solid Construction.
• IS 2062: 2011 - Hot Rolled Medium and High Tensile Structural Steel — Specification (Seventh Revision).
• IS 6911: 2017 - Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet and Strip — Specification (Second Revision).
