The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on February 25, 2026, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various Textiles, Thread and Fabrics.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be February 23, 2026:-
• IS 4211: 2026 - Gauges — Thread Pitch Gauges for ISO Metric Screw Threads (Pitch Range 0.4 mm to 6 mm) —Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 4215: 2026 - Needle Roller Bearings — Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 4217: 2026- Rolling Bearings — Needle Rollers — Specification (Third Revision)
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be August 23, 2026: -
• IS 4211: 1993 - Gauges — Thread Pitch Gauges for ISO Metric Screw Threads (Pitch Range 0.4 to 6 mm) — Specification (First Revision).
• IS 4215 – 1983 - Specification for Ring Type Needle Bearings (First Revision).
• IS 4217: 2020 - Rolling Bearings — Needle Rollers — Specification (Second Revision).
