The Indian Banks' Association (IBA) on February 06, 2026, issued a circular regarding Dearness Relief payable to Pensioners for the period February 2026 to July 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•Reference is made to Circular No. CIR/HR&IR/76/D/2025-26/2911 dated February 06, 2026, notifying Dearness Relief (DR) rates for pensioners and family pensioners for February–July 2026, including DR neutralization for pre-November 2002 retirees.
•Institutions yet to implement the earlier communication dated October 16, 2023, are permitted to pay DR on an ad hoc basis.
•Such payment may be made pending formal amendments to the Pension Regulations.
•The applicable DR rates are to be followed as specified in the Annexure to the circular.
