Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on February 27, 2026, issued Guidelines for Operational activities – to be followed by Point of Presence (PoPs) performing activities of National Pension System (NPS) including NPS Vatsalya.

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has issued updated operational guidelines for all registered Points of Presence (PoPs) involved in NPS activities. These guidelines, issued under the PFRDA Act, 2013 and the PoP Regulations, 2018, replace earlier instructions and take effect April 1, 2026, with the first mandatory reporting for the half-year ending September 2026.

They set standardized requirements covering:

• Service standards

• Operating procedures

• Subscriber onboarding

• Contribution handling

• Reporting and disclosures

• Grievance redressal

• Other operational functions

All entities must update their systems and processes to comply. The Authority may revise these guidelines in the future based on service needs.
