The Industry, Energy, Labour & Mining Department, Government of Maharashtra on February 27, 2026, notified regarding the Mid-Week Holidays for State Printing Presses.
It has amended the holiday schedule for state government printing presses under the Directorate of Government Printing, Stationery & Publications, Mumbai. Effective from March 01, 2026, these government printing offices will observe two mid-week holidays — the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. On these days, the printing presses will remain closed, while regular working hours will continue on all other Wednesdays and other working days.
This change has been made taking into account operational requirements and feedback from employee representative bodies, and it applies specifically to the printing establishments under the Directorate.
