The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) February 26, 2026, issued a directive (File No. 4-10/2025-DGT/4 (Part-VI)) to all licensees holding Internet Service Authorization pursuant to an order passed by the High Court of Delhi in DAZN Limited & Anr. v. abbonamentoiptvitalia.com & Ors. (dated 8 December 2025).
Under this directive, DoT has enclosed the Court’s order and a list of 39 unauthorised websites/domains identified in the litigation that are involved in the illegal streaming and distribution of copyrighted content without authorisation.
Licensees are instructed to immediately block access to these listed websites/domains in compliance with the judicial order. This action is intended to curb unauthorised IPTV services infringing exclusive broadcast rights and to ensure adherence to the Court’s directions through coordinated enforcement by Internet Service Providers and related stakeholders.
