The Government of Gujarat on February 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Prohibition of Strike in Essential Services – Khambhat Municipality
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Government of Gujarat has prohibited employees connected with essential services under Khambhat Municipality from going on strike or abstaining from work.
• The order is issued in public interest to ensure continuity of emergency and essential municipal services and prevent hardship to the public.
• The order will remain in force for six months.
This shall come into force on February 13, 2026.
