The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 24, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Modalities for export of Wheat Flour and related products falling under HS Code 1101.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Applications must be submitted online via the DGFT portal within the first ten days of each month starting March 01, 2026, and include documents such as past export performance, confirmed export orders, CA-certified turnover, and a self-declaration confirming the use of domestic wheat.
• Export Authorizations are valid for six months, strictly non-transferable, and extensions will be considered case-by-case by a Special Exim Facilitation Committee (EFC) constituted by the DGFT.
• Allocation and re-allocation of wheat flour export quantities will be recommended by the Special EFC based on applicant export history, confirmed orders, and performance reviews. Half of the quota (2.5 LMT) is reserved for State Trading Enterprises and Government-aided Cooperative Societies.
• Disqualification criteria include applications below 2,500 MT, submissions outside the portal or window period, or containing misdeclarations. Exporters must submit landing certificates within 30 days of export completion for review by the Special EFC.
• The applicants who have been allocated the quota of wheat shall submit the landing certificate within 30 days of completion of export of the consignment within the allocated quota for the consideration of the Special EFC at the еmail id [email protected]. Any requirement for additional documents may be communicated to the exporter by the Special EFC, as and when required.
