The Government of Punjab on February 25, 2026, issued the Punjab Regulation of Crusher Units, and Stockists and Retailers (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, to further amend the Punjab Regulation of Crusher Units, and Stockists and Retailers Act, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall extend to the whole of the State of Punjab
• The preamble shall be substituted, namely: -
“to regulate the operations of Crusher Units, Stockists and Retailers in the State of Punjab in respect of raw material and derivatives obtained from the process of crushing or screening”
• Section 5 which states “Environmental Preservation Fund” has been substituted.
• Section 10 which states “Prohibition of certain activities” has been substituted.
