Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on February 27, 2026, issued an amendment to the older notification no. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 03, 2001, fixing the Tariff Values for Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, and RBD Palmolein under the Customs Act, 1962.

The following has been amended by substituting revised TABLE-1, TABLE-2, and TABLE-3 to update tariff values for specified imported goods.

The revised tariff values include:

• Edible oils such as Crude Palm Oil (USD 1103/MT), RBD Palm Oil (USD 1122/MT), Palmolein variants, and Crude Soya Bean Oil (USD 1212/MT).

• Brass Scrap (USD 7235/MT).

• Gold (USD 1664 per 10 grams) and Silver (USD 2800 per kilogram), including specific categories such as gold bars, gold coins, and silver forms with defined purity standards, particularly where concessional benefits under Notification No. 45/2025-Customs dated October 24, 2025, are availed.

• Areca nuts remain unchanged at USD 7020 per metric tonne.

The notification comes into force from February 28, 2026.
