The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 24, 2026, notified the date of establishment of the Indian Standards related to Information Technology — Generic Cabling for Customer Premises.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be February 18, 2026 -
• IS/ISO/IEC 11801-6 : 2017 Information Technology — Generic Cabling for Customer Premises Part 6 Distributed Building Services.
• IS/ISO/IEC 11801-9909 : 2020 Information Technology — Generic Cabling for Customer Premises Part 9909 Evaluation of Balanced Cabling in Support of 25 Gbit/s for Reach Greater than 30 Metres.
• IS/ISO/IEC 11801-9910 : 2020 Information Technology — Generic Cabling for Customer Premises Part 9910 Specification for Modular Plug-terminated Link Cabling.
• IS 16910 (Part 2/Sec 11) : 2026 IEC 62676-2-11 : 2024 Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) for Use in Security Applications Part 2 Video Transmission Protocols Section 11 Interop Profiles for VMS and Cloud VSaaS Systems for Safe Cities and Law Enforcement.
