Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Goa, on February 27, 2026, notified regarding the Prohibition on Transport and Restriction on Possession of Liquor in Panaji during Polling and Counting Days.

The following has been stated namely: -

• During this period, individuals may possess only limited quantities of liquor without a permit—up to three quart bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor or foreign liquor (other than beer) along with six 650 ml bottles of beer, or three quart bottles of country liquor, including for their family. The notification remains effective on the specified dates.

• It overrides earlier Government Notifications dated 28-08-2014, specifically for the stated election period.

• This Notification shall remain in force from March 10, 2026, March 11, 2026 and March 13, 2026, on account of Polling day and Counting of votes for the General Elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji in North Goa District of the State of Goa.
